Project Overview

This creative agency needed more than a simple portfolio. They required a custom-built, private client portal where they could manage projects, share design mockups for review, get feedback, and deliver final assets, all in one branded environment.

The Challenge

The system needed to handle large file uploads, version control for design assets, and real-time commenting and feedback threads for each project, while providing a seamless experience for non-technical clients.

Our Solution

We built a secure, multi-tenant project management system with the MERN stack.

• Frontend: A clean and intuitive React interface allows clients to log in, view their active projects, click on images to leave comments, and download final files.

• Backend: The Node.js backend handles user accounts, project permissions, and file uploads/storage, integrating with AWS S3 for scalable and secure file hosting.

• Database: MongoDB stores all the metadata related to projects, users, comments, and file versions, linking everything together in a flexible structure.

The Result

The portal has streamlined the agency’s workflow, reducing the reliance on endless email chains. Clients love the professional, centralized hub for their projects, which has improved client retention and communication efficiency.
