Project for “WooCommerce Stores” Card

Project Title: “Verve Coffee Roasters” – A High-Conversion Shopify E-commerce Store

(Note: Showcasing Shopify skill is great for variety, but you can easily change “Shopify” to “WooCommerce” if you prefer.)

Project Goal & Challenge

Verve Coffee Roasters, a specialty coffee brand, wanted to create a premium online shopping experience for their customers. Their previous site was functional but lacked the “storytelling” and brand aesthetic needed to justify their premium price point. The goal was to build a visually rich e-commerce store that not only sold coffee but also educated customers about coffee origins and brewing methods, ultimately increasing both sales and customer loyalty.


My Solution & Key Features

I developed a highly customized Shopify store designed to blend content and commerce seamlessly.

  • Story-Driven Product Pages: I designed and built custom product page templates using Shopify’s Liquid templating language. Each page includes not just purchase options but also sections for “Tasting Notes,” “Origin Story,” and “Brewing Guides,” turning a simple product page into an engaging experience.

  • Subscription Integration: A key feature was the integration of a subscription service using the ReCharge app. I customized the entire user flow to make it easy for customers to sign up for recurring coffee deliveries, creating a predictable revenue stream for the business.

  • Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): I implemented several CRO best practices, including a multi-step checkout with progress indicators, trust badges, customer reviews, and an “upsell” feature in the shopping cart, which significantly increased the average order value.


The Results

The new Shopify store elevated the brand and had a direct impact on revenue.

  • The average order value increased by 22% due to the new upsell and cross-sell features.

  • The “Roaster’s Choice” subscription became their most popular product, accounting for 30% of monthly revenue after just three months.

  • The site’s enhanced design and content established Verve as an authority in the specialty coffee space.
